Terms and Conditions for Trekking Trips.
your booking and payment For your TREKKING TRIP will be confirmation that you have read, understand and agree to the BELOW tRekking Terms, Conditions and Cancelation Policy as outlined by Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd.

Price:
I) Prices effective 01 July 2017. Prices are subject to change without notice.
ii) In the case of a price rise for bus transfers, airline or accommodation, travellers will be informed in writing. This price rise will affect all who have not paid for their trip in full.
iii) Prices quoted on the website are current for the time of booking. A booking made after this time is subject to new price charges.

BOOKING:
i) Your travel reservation is confirmed on receipt of the full travel payment for each person, per trip. Payment must be paid at the time of booking or the reservation will automatically be cancelled. The payment is transferable but non-refundable. Please deposit all payments into the bank account stated below.
ii) The balance of payment is due no later than 30 day prior to trip departure.
iii) With payment of deposit, it is Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd understanding that the client has read and understood and agrees to the Booking Terms and Conditions, and has accepted them.
iv) Payment in full is required at time of booking for reservations made less than 30 days prior to the trip departure.
v) Our price is a package price. If you wish to vary the package then you are liable for any accommodation, transport, food or other variations not stated in writing with Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd.
vi) A pre departure travel pack containing a trip overview, itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, what to bring list and other pieces of important information will be sent to you via email upon CEA recieving your trip deposit.

• Debit Card, Visa or Mastercard (A 2% surcharge applies)
• Cheque (Please make payable to Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd)

Price Inclusions/EXCLUSIONS:
i) The travel price does not cover costs and expenses, including the return to your home if you leave the trek at your volition, or due to illness, or as a consequence of official action by the government of the area or country visited.
ii) Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd will provide each person with a Trip Specific Information Pack. It is the responsibility of the traveller to provide the items on the 'what to bring list'.
iii) It is the traveller's responsibility to pay for anything not included in the trip inclusions section of the information pack whilst on the trip. Things like telephone calls, extra nights accommodation, extra meals and personal items.

Trip Cancellations:
Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel tour departures. A minimum number of participants is required to operate each tour. It may therefore be necessary to cancel a scheduled departure in which case an alternative tour or a full refund for that tour would be offered.

AMEnDMENT FEE:
Due to the complexity, staff time and communication costs of the booking processes, a charge of $50 will apply to every modification after the original booking has been confirmed.

Itineraries:
Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd reserves the right to cancel or alter tour itineraries as deemed necessary. Tour operation, or alterations may occur due to road or weather conditions, strikes, public holidays and accommodation availability etc. Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd gives no guarantee as to the exact arrival or departure times as circumstances beyond our control may influence this.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Due to the extensive organisation involved with operating a tour, a strict cancellation policy will be applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue. Under no circumstance is the payment refundable. Once the payment is made then a 100% cancellation fees will apply.

Accommodtion:
i) For the Royal National Park Trip the accommodation provided is for 1 night, twin share tented accommodation. Accommodation may be upgraded for $100.00 to a single share tent.
ii) For the Six Foot Track Trip the accommodation provided is for 2 nights, twin share tented accommodation. Accommodation may be upgraded for $100.00 to a single share tent.
iii) For the Mt Kosciuszko Trip the accommodation provided is for 2 night, quad share room hotel accommodation. Accommodation may be upgraded for $235.00 to a twin share room.

GP's Clearance:
I) Travellers should have a high level of physical fitness and mobility and should be able to negotiate uneven & slippery surfaces, water, heights, and climb stairs as the trek requires.
ii) All trekking adventures involve physical activity every day over the duration of the trip.
iii) Travellers are reccommended to see your GP prior to participanting in any trip. It is the traveller's responsibility to consult their doctor about your trip and that you have received the proper medical advice regarding vaccinations, innoculations and prescription medication you may need prior to or during your trip.
iv) Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse participation or retire any traveller/s who are deemed to be unfit or unprepared to complete the trekking adventure.

travel and HEALTH INSURANCE:
I) It is mandatory for each traveller to have a suitable personal travel insurance policy prior to your trip departure.
ii) The policy must cover the unforeseen cancellation of your trip, the loss of personal items, the cost of emergency evacuation by air from any point in Australia if necessary. It should also cover medical/hospital treatment in Australia. You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and return it to the Cutting Edge Adventure Pty Ltd office on the booking and payment of your trip.
iii) Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd requires all details of your Travel Insurance no later than two (1) weeks before the commencement of the trip. Details will include your full name, policy number, dates of travel, destinations, the Travel Insurance Company's 24 hour emergency phone number, etc.
iii) All baggage and personal effects are at all times and in all circumstances at the risk of the client. Baggage insurance is recommended.

Children:
An adult must accompany children under the age of 16. Adult supervision is required at all times. Any adult accompanying children will be responsible for any behaviour deemed not acceptable by Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd.

DAMAGE:
I) Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by clients. For example: at the hotel accomodation, camping ground, along the trek, or during transfers and transportation etc.
ii) Any traveller/s who have caused damage will be required to pay for damage done, and Cutting Edge Adventure Pty Ltd staff will assess this.

Retiring from the trip:
Early departure from the trip (i.e. less than the days specified) will incur the cost of extra staff, transportation, administration costs and all other expenses incurred in returning you home. The traveller will be responsible for these extra costs.

EMERGENCY Situation:
I) In the event of an emergency situation, Cutting Edge Adventures staff will assess the situation and they will act accordingly. The staff have an emergency situation plan and they will contact the appropriate emergency services.
ii) If the event of an emergency situation, Cutting Edge Adventures Staff will contact your 'Next of Kin', as stated on your Adventure / Trip Booking Forms.
iii) Prior to departing please make sure that all emergency contact details and medical information provided to CEA is correct, if changes need to be made please notify the staff member immediately.
iv) Costs for 'Medical/Emergency Evacuation' will be charged to the participant.

CLOTHING and EQUIPMENT:
I) Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd will provide each traveller with a 'What to Bring list' as a recommendation on what to take on the trip.
ii) In the case of excess baggage, the traveller is liable to pay for this excess baggage.

Alcohol & Drug Policy:
i) All participants are to abide the Drug and Alcohol laws enforced by the Government of Australia.
ii) All participants must not purchase, use or sell drugs at any time. Prescription drugs maybe taken as prescribed by the doctors. All participants taking prescription medicine must advise CEA, prior to trip departure.
iii) Participants under the age of 18 years must not purchase or consume alcohol at any time. Any participants under the age of 18 years found to have purchased or consumed alcohol will be referred to the local police. CEA Guides will then contact their parent / guardian to advise of the issue. CEA will then organise to have the participant sent home at the next available time at the offenders expense.
iv) Participants over the age of 18 years must not purchase or supply alcohol to any person under the age of 18 years at any time. Any participants over the age of 18 years found to have purchased or supplied alcohol to any person under the age of 18 years will be referred to the local police. CEA will then organise to have the participant sent home at the next available time at the offenders expense.

Code OF Conduct:
i) All participants are to abide by the CEA code of conduct at all times. Any participants found to have broken the CEA code of conduct will be removed from the trip and sent home at the offenders expense.
ii) Participants are to report any illegal, inappropriate or dangerous behaviour by any person/s to a CEA Staff and the local police immediately.
iii) Participants that are found to be involved in anything illegal, i.e. stealing, abuse etc. will be referred to the local police.
iv) Participants that are found to be involved in bullying, intimidation, verbal abuse or assault will be referred to the local police.
v) Participants are to advise a CEA guide if they are ill or cannot make the scheduled itinerary, if they are leaving the trip or if the become lost.

Change of details:
i) If at any stage you change your personal details, please advise the Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd Immediately – i.e. Postal or email address, home phone number, mobile phone number, Next of Kin.

i) We ask all travellers to read Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd Media Release Statement. Your booking and payment for your trekking trip will be confirmation that you have read, understand and agree to the Media Release Statement as outlined by Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd. i) We ask all travellers to read Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd Trekking Terms and Conditions. Your booking and payment for your Trekking Trip will be confirmation that you have read, understand and agree to the Trekking Terms and Conditions as outlined by Cutting Edge Adventures Pty Ltd.

Conclusion:
i) Every effort is made to make your trip as memorable as possible. Please remember, if you are going to another area / country you may see and experience things you may have never seen before. Keep an open mind; schedules/itinerary may change without notice, and transport may be late due to bad weather or other circumstances, please understand most of the time it is out of our control.
